I've provided care for children in five wonderful families. When located in Seattle, I worked with two wonderful families and gained extensive experience. During my time finishing my BA in Psychology, I have enjoyed working with one family on an occasional and overnight basis, and another from a part/full- time position in their home, navigating mental health challenges that came up during the pandemic. I was recently accepted to Columbia University to complete my MSW! I especially enjoy exploring new activities, and cultivating a loving, positive environment from which kiddos can thrive. I've specialized largely in working with preschool aged children on skills like emotion regulation and social development. We employed Ali from August 2020 - April 2021. She did a tremendous job caring for our kids in a part time nanny share, juggling two 4-5yo children on two separate zoom classrooms, as well as a toddler. We have several household members with medical risk factors, so minimizing outside contacts has been very important to us during the pandemic; we appreciated Ali's openness around this. Unfortunately, she was inconsistent with her reliability, and broke her contract with us several months early, leaving us in a difficult position with childcare options we are much less comfortable with in terms of exposures.
