Alison is one of the most intelligent, driven, talented and compassionate young people I've had the pleasure to meet and instruct. Alison was my student in several graduate level writing classes , and then I had the supreme pleasure of working closely with her as thesis adviser on her excellent poetry project last spring. She has since become a friend and someone I feel absolutely comfortable leaving with my small children. She's completely responsible, and always reliable. The time she spends with them is filled with creativity and fun. I know too that she has cared for smaller children (mine are 7 & 10) regularly for years. Honestly if I could hire her into my family, I would do that. She's the best.
