About Alison

I have just over 10 years of babysitting experience with kids of all ages as well as over 10 years of experience with people with disabilities including autism, down syndrome, mood and behavioral disorders, ADD/ADHD, PTSD, eating disorders, and a few others. My most recent experience has been in an Early Intervention classroom for kids with developmental disabilities and special needs. As a classroom assistant I had many roles including diaper changing, preparing and cleaning up snacks as well as caring for and playing with children one-on-one and in a group setting. I also assisted therapists with Occupational, Physical, and Speech therapy activities and helped maintain consistency and order in the classroom, working with the lead teacher and therapists to help kids learn and attend to whatever activities were planned.
