Since I was a child, I have always had a special place in my heart for those with special needs. Rather than playing with my classmates on the playground, I would spend time playing with the children in the special needs class. Such compassion for these children has been present throughout my life, and the reason behind why I am going to study Occupational Therapy. For the past two summers, I have been working for a couple of OT clinics to get hands on experience and complete my hours prior to being accepted into an Occupational Therapy Program. Through working for these clinics, I have had a great amount of experience working with children who have various disabilities, particularly autism.
