About Alison

Determined, Passionate, Results Focused I know all students are capable of achieving academic success. Born and educated in Massachusetts, I am a well trained educator who recently moved to the Southwest. I have my BA in English and my Masters degree in the Art of Teaching, am professionally licensed in English Language Arts, and have been teaching since 2010. I have taught grades K-12, with most of my career spent as an ELA interventionist. My previous position as a literacy interventionist for grades K-4 at a nationally ranked school where I provided instruction around the foundations of literacy. I have experience in intensive Orton Gilling ham Reading intervention programs. I specialize in designing and implementing lessons that are skill focused with an interactive play element. One of my client's skills in letter formation, identification, and letter sound awareness grew approximately 62% within one month of instruction.
