About Alison

I am looking for a part time position taking care of 1 to 3 kids from ages 3 to 12 years. Most recently I have worked as a Nanny for families whose parents either worked from home or had an outside position. I have spent many years working with children including working as a preschool teacher taking care of kids from 1 to 5 in groups of 12 to 20 for 4 and a half years. Before I became a teacher I worked as a caretaker for several families with kids aged infancy to 10. I am also a parent of 2 adults who seem pretty well adjusted. As a caretaker I have the ability to adapt and listen as well as to react accordingly in any situation. At the jobs I've held, I was considered patient, nurturing as well as protective. Along with my work as a nanny, I am an artist which I use to create a space for helping a child's mind grow and develop. I believe everyday is a day to learn: from working on reading to exploring the world around us. I look forward to working with you and your kids!
