I was a pre-k teacher in a public school for 29 years and have a current Massachusetts teaching license in Early Childhood. I am a single mom of two amazing young adults and have experience with special needs children as well as a variety of age groups. Some of the activities I enjoy doing with children are spending active time outside, planning arts & craft projects, enjoying music and dance activities, reading stories, integrating Literacy, Science and Math into day to day life, and taking mini "field trips" to playgrounds, museums, the library, and more! I am patient, enthusiastic, reliable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children and seeing the world through their perspective. I believe in giving children structure, and a sense of routine and predictability while allowing for plenty of free time for safe exploration and play. I love animals and am very comfortable interacting with them as part of the day to day as the position requires.

We were nervous finding a babysitter and as soon as we met Alisa we were put at ease! She was so sweet and kind and engaging with our daughter. She was even thoughtful to bring nighttime books. Alisa is evidently experienced working with little ones with her teaching background. We know our daughter was in great care with her!
