About Alicia

I'd describe my personality as committed, caring, professional I like tutoring because it gives me a chance to make a difference in a young person's life, which will have meaningful and long-lasting effects. I have been a teacher for over 20 years, and I find the chance to have one-on-one teaching opportunities very rewarding. I'm looking for a job that allows me go back to my teaching practice on a more personable level, as well as to focus on teaching and learning and not on school administration. I started tutoring when I started teaching in 1997. I started teaching English as a second language early in my career. but for most of my teaching practice I held a job as a secondary History teacher in Peru. In my spare time, I like to travel, read and run One thing you should know about me is that I am a History nerd. My skills include teaching critical thinking, developing writing skills and exam preparation.
