About Alicia

I'd describe myself as creative, loving and fun. I like working with kids because every day is a new adventure! I started my work with kids in daycares as an infant through pre-k teacher. After I received my degree in Early Childhood Education, I began work as a second grade teacher, which I've done for the last eight years. Now, I really want to get back to my roots and work with younger kids again. In my spare time, I like to explore a lot of different activities. I'm interested in yoga, meditation and reading. One thing you should know about me is I have a passion for reading instruction (I have a master's degree in literacy curriculum and instruction). This is an area of expertise I cannot wait to share with children and families. My skills include building secure, healthy relationships with children, having a strong knowledge of early childhood education and, of course, being able to plan fun activities.
