Six years ago, my sister and mother started working with a boy who has Autism as personal care assistants and tutors through the Disability Services of the Southwest in Austin, TX. When I was 18 (the youngest you can work with the company), I started working with him as well and during winter and summer breaks I worked with him almost full time. I also worked with a boy on the spectrum this past year when I worked part time in a Kindergarten classroom in Medford.
