K-3 TUTOR FOR READING/PHONICS/WRITING/MATH AVAILABLE Hello, families! My name is Alicia and I am a first grade teacher in Lexington. I am currently tutoring a few students virtually and I am looking for a few more virtual or face-to-face students (we can discuss if it would be safe). In order to solidify foundational literacy skills, I pull from a variety of programs such as Fundations, LiPS (Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing), Visualizing and Verbalizing, Rave-O, and more. The lessons are tailored to target the particular needs of your child, so I will adjust the programs used accordingly. For math, I like to work on building number sense, flexibility, and deepening conceptual understanding of WHY certain computations work the way they do. I will work to help your child become a more well-rounded mathematician and help to build a love of math that they can hold on to as the level of difficulty increases throughout their schooling.

Alicia is absolutely the best. She was a full time, 9 to 5, nanny for our two kids (3 and 7) last summer. I can't really imagine anyone doing a better job. She is 100% dependable, I feel the kids are very safe with her. She is a lot of fun too and worked hard to think of things to do and places to go to get out of the house. She also has a good presence about her ... she is able to be firm when needed without being mean. She was always on time and communicated with us very well. Alicia is excellent, highly recommended.
