About Alexis

I have always loved working with children. It's amazing to watch them grow and learn. I'd describe my personality as caring, outgoing and kind. I like working with kids because it's wonderful to see the excitement in their eye's when they learn something new. I'm looking for a job that can be more than a job. Childcare doesn't feel like work when it's all about making a the day fun and teaching new things. I started working with kids when I was 19, in a daycare Center. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my own kids, although they are now grown. I spend a lot of time with my daughter and we love to talk, walk at the beach or watch television. I've spent 10 years working with children. I've worked in daycare centers, with infants and toddlers, as well as preschoolers. I spent a few years as a nanny for twins & also watched a child in my home for 4yrs. My skills include finding age appropriate activities, communicating with parents and making learning fun.
