About Alexis

I have spent 3-4 years caring for a variety of different children in more of a "babysitting" situation. I would help out with commuting to practices, school, home, etc. I also helped with homework, meals, and cleaning and occasionally stayed over night to help with morning activities. I also have experience caring for pets, mostly dogs and cats, but nonetheless it didn't make my job with the kids any more difficult. I recently worked in a special needs environment with people whom were 18 years- 60 years old. I learned a lot about how to help them calm down, how to read their body language, how to engage them in daily hygiene routines (such as showering and/or bathing, brushing teeth etc.), and how to try my best to understand them and their feelings. Overall, If I were to have the contact information for my previous babysitting/ nannying jobs I would include them, unfortunately, due to new technology I've lost their #'s but feel free to ask about it all.
