About Alexis

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, caring, and creative. I like working with kids because I've found endless joy and inspiration working with them. Their boundless curiosity, infectious energy, and genuine expressions of wonder make every day a rewarding one. I spent 4 years in college working at a daycare with children ages 2-5, and I found it to be so incredibly rewarding. I started working with kids when I was in high school. I regularly babysat several local families, and nannied over the summer. I also worked at our local elementary & middle school's summer academy every summer in high school. Once I went off to college, I was a part time daycare teacher for 4 years at Melrose Daycare in Iowa City where I worked with children ages 2-5. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and going to concerts with my friends and family. I also love to go skiing on the weekends and to go on hikes in the mountains.
