About Alexia

Hi! My name is Alexia and I am a sophomore at Salve Regina University and originally from Cumberland, RI. I am studying Psychology with a minor in biology, looking to go into an accelerated nursing program and becoming a Nurse Practitioner. I have always know that I've wanted to work with kids! I am passionate about caring for children, and I believe that my experience and skills make me an ideal childcare provider. My patient demeanor, coupled with my creativity and energetic nature, allow me to with engage children in a fulfilling and effective manner. I hold my Pediatric First Aid and CPR Training certifications, and I have completed coursework in Psychology, including a Child Development course. Additionally, I currently work at the Newport County YMCA doing before and after school care with local elementary schools. I am dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and am eager to support families in their childcare needs.
