About Alexa

I began working with children as a young teenager, and as I got older my passion for working with kids continued to grow. I proceeded to nanny summers through high school and my college experience. In 2012, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Art and Visual Culture Education. This field gave me the opportunity to work with children of all ages, ranging from Kindergartners to seniors in High School. Working in an art classroom has showed me the importance of giving children the opportunity to express their creative abilities, which can foster knowledge in so many different areas. My interests not only include art, but being outdoors and active. I love taking walks, going to the park, visiting museums and anything else the city has to offer! Since graduating I have worked with two Chicago families, with children ranging from 2 to 9. I have been working for Chicago Public Schools for the last 7 years as an Art teacher for elementary age kids, Pre-K through 6th grade.
