About Alexa

My name is Alexa and I am 27! I am a 7th grade ELA teacher. I have experience working with kids from ages 1 to 15 years old. I graduated from SUNY Oswego in May of 2020. I graduated with a double major in Adolescence Education & English. I was a nanny in 2020 and 2021. From 2021 to 2023, I was a 6th grade ELA teacher at Success Academy Charter School in Brooklyn. I ran an ELA tutoring class for students who needed practice with their writing/reading. I have experience with all types of learners & have coached them through the journey of their growth. I have worked closely with students one on one & in whole groups. I'm passionate when it comes to helping kids achieve their potential and celebrate their strides in learning. In 2024, I returned to working as a full-time nanny for two families. I have always found joy in being an educator, mentor & nanny. I love making kids smile and having a positive impact on them. I am organized, reliable, and enthusiastic!
