About Alexa

Hello! My name is Alexa and I am 25 years old. I've been working with kids since early in college. I graduated from SUNY Oswego in May of 2020. I graduated with a double major in Adolescence Education and English. I have experience being a nanny for two different families in 2020 and 2021. From 2021 to 2023, I was a 6th grade ELA teacher at Success Academy Charter School in Brooklyn. I ran an ELA tutoring class for students who needed extra practice with their writing and reading. I have experience with all types of learners and have coached them through the journey of their growth. I have worked closely with students one-on-one and in whole groups. I'm passionate when it comes to helping students achieve their potential and celebrate their strides in reading and writing. I have always found joy in being an educator, mentor, and nanny. I am personable and approachable. I love making kids smile as well as having a positive impact on them. I am organized, reliable, and enthusiastic!
