About Alexa

Hi my name is Alexa! I am an elementary school teacher looking to spend the summer tutoring some awesome kids. I am just finishing up my third year teaching. This year I am as an elementary reading intervention teacher. I work with students K-5th who struggle with reading and writing. I have great experience creating activities that are both fun, engaging and academically challenging for students. My previous teaching experience has taught me how to utilize these strategies to teach elementary math, history and science skills in the same way. In addition to my elementary school experience, I also hold a single subject teaching credential in English. Therefore, I am prepared to tutor students in middle and high school level English. Another service I offer is college preparation. I am happy to help with college essay writing. Additionally, I offer services in ACT/SAT preparation in the english and reading sections. I look forward to helping your children learn and grow!
