About Alexandria

Hello! My name is Alex and I'm a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University's MFA in creative writing program. In terms of my experience as an educator, I have a certificate in college teaching, two years' of experience in teaching undergraduates at Vanderbilt, and eight months' of experience in tutoring elementary-aged children. I'm very passionate about promoting creativity among children--whether it be through crafting engaging lesson plans, taking a trip to an interactive museum, or just by having an arts and crafts session! I also have a 14-year-old sister that I've spent half of my life, (and well, her entire life), caring for. When her school became virtual in 2020, I supervised her daily to ensure she attended virtual lessons, assisted in homework completion, and provided tutoring. In my free time, you can find me trying to gather friends in this new city, frequenting cafes, or watching movies with my cat. I look forward to speaking with you!
