Hello! I have 8 years experience as a special education teacher working with early childhood - 8th grade. Most of my work was as a life skills teacher helping disabled students with functions of daily living, adapted & functional skills, but I also have experience with mobility challenges, behavioral needs, and social emotional learning! Beyond my professional experience I have two adult cousins with intellectual disabilities, I grew up in a family where inclusion was the norm and that's where I found a passion for this work! I have experience with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, medical needs (seizures, g-tube feeding etc.)Most of my work has been with children but I'm comfortable with adults as well!
