I just moved to the Orlando area last October. I have a bachelors degree in early childhood education and I have worked with all ages between infant to high schoolers. I have 10 years of experience in childcare and am currently nannying after taking a step back from being a preschool teacher. I always look for opportunities to get the kids active between playing outside, going to the park or library, playing games at the house, and having days where we bake a treat together. I always strive to develop strong and meaningful relationships with every child and family I work with. I know some basic Spanish and sign language. I can cook and bake. I am also willing to help with household tasks. I am comfortable with helping manage the household during free time, such as ordering groceries, cooking meals, laundry, and cleaning.

Alex is fantastic. She cared for our baby and occasionally watched our four year old when she was home sick. Alex's experience and early education degree brought an added benefit and we actually learned a few things from her as parents (e.g. she created a reward system for our four year old that's been greatly influential). Alex truly cares, is creative, and comes up with fun activities that align with our kids' interests. She made sure our baby got plenty of outside time, going for 2x daily walks/trips to the park. My work hours increased significantly during her time with us and Alex offered to expand her role; she made the family dinner nightly, cleaned, and did laundry for everyone. She saved us! Alex was always on-time, flexible with her schedule, and communicated very far in advance when she needed time off. We are so sad she is relocating, but happy for her next family. We'd highly recommend Alex.
