About Alexandra

Hello families! I am 24 years old female and currently a graduate student at a university pursing a doctorate in audiology. My career path in audiology has enabled me to learn about children at a different angle. I've been exposed to children with hearing loss and language impairments in the clinical setting, and I also took a pediatrics course this past Spring, which focused on language development in children, milestones, genetic disorders and hearing impairments in the pediatric population. Thus far, I have worked in a camp at a summer beach club, as well as a summer educational camp for children ages 5-17. As I have gotten older I've taken on more critical positions, which include being a camp director this past summer at a sports center. My responsibilities included planning programs, assuring the counselors were providing appropriate care for each child, and interacting with parents. I was also a nanny for a little girl for 2 years while in graduate school, who was 3 months old when I began caring for her.
