Throughout high school and for part of college I was in the best buddies program. For the past year, I have cared for a 10-year-old girl who is on the autism spectrum and has ADHD and I absolutely love spending time with her. I am so passionate about working with people who have special needs and/or learning disabilities that I intend to pursue it as a career. Currently I'm a student at UW-Milwaukee and I'm studying psychology and minoring in biology, and my goal is to get my Master's Degree in speech pathology. I have 9 years of experience working with children of all ages and I also worked as a certified Red Cross lifeguard for over a year. I am very patient and I am able to easily and quickly adapt to new, difficult, or changing situations.
