Hi! My name is Lexi and I am a recent college graduate -- I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychological & Brain Sciences at UCSB. Throughout my time at UCSB, I volunteered as a mentor to younger students and worked as both a caregiver and a tutor while maintaining a 3. 90 GPA, completing an honors thesis, and receiving distinction in my major. I was awarded the Morgan Award for Academic Excellence, an award given to two graduating psychology students across the entirety of UCSB. I am trilingual in English, Armenian, and Russian which exposed me to several multicultural households throughout my life. Although I have a special interest in math and science, I am also comfortable tutoring in a full range of subjects, and enjoy the written word. In fact I am the author of a nationally published children's book, which is currently being distributed. I believe in making learning fun, and welcome the opportunity to work with your child in a way that engages his or her mind and personality.

Our family was looking for someone to help my fifth grader with her schoolwork and to provide childcare. My daughter actually picked Alexandra herself from the website. From the moment we all met each other in person it felt right. Alexandra established a great rapport with my daughter. Not only did my child finish all her schoolwork, Alexandra even motivated her to take on more reading and to get excited about other subjects. Alexandra is organized, an excellent communicator, and naturally gifted at working with young people. My older child, a high school student, ended up asking if Alexandra could help him with his schoolwork. So, we hired her as a tutor for him as well. I give Alexandra my highest recommendation as a childcare provider, a tutor, driver, and more. She is truly outstanding.
