About Alexandra

Hi, I'm Lexi! I'm a psychiatric nurse who's currently attending graduate school at Creighton. I began my nursing career on a medical/surgical unit where I became quite familiar with elderly patients. The majority of the people I worked with were 60+ years old who were medically complex, high fall risks, and oftentimes dementia or Alzheimer's patients. I also worked very closely with our hospice/comfort care patients, which was a huge honor. I greatly enjoyed working with this patient population, my favorite part was getting to listen to their life stories and taking home some of the life lessons that they learned. While I'm no longer on the medical side of things, I do still work with plenty of elderly patients who suffer from psychiatric related illnesses and I find just as much enjoyment in the work I do now as I did before.
