About Alexandra

For the past 25+ years I have been a certified Foster/Adoptive parent for children with special needs - ranging from mental retardation, cerebral palsy, AIDS, as well as fostering newborn drug addicted, premature, etc. Caring for children is my reason for being. I have adopted the last 7 foster-kids and they are now young adults. I have had as many as 7 at a time in my home when there was a need. I also have had occasion to care for two sets of newborn twins within my time of child-care I have a great deal of experience in milestone accomplishments with youngsters and have experience with medications, stimulation techniques and early intervention. I also have experience with a pet rescue in NY. I am now focusing on the healthy newborn/infant/toddler population and enjoy watching them experience all things new and beautiful. I do, however, have a passion for special needs or fragile children so I am always available for the most vulnerable of children.

Allie has been the most amazing caregiver for our son (and dog - they both love her). She not only does a great job caring for him, she also invests time every day in helping him learn new skills as he grows. She is so conscientious, caring and reliable. She has consistently gone above and beyond and we are so grateful we've been able to work with her.
