About Alexandra

I haven't forgotten how I felt as a kid. More importantly, how adults made me feel. The bad memories stick out more than the good ones do. I want to prevent bad feelings for the children I care for as much as I possibly can. Kids are smart, kids are always wondering about the world. I want to nurture their curiosity the way I nurture my own. I've been working with kids since I was one. It's always been apart of my life. I was 4 years old when my younger sister was born. My mom's two friends had kids at the same time, so she watched the three of them at home and I was her helper. I knew how to check the temperature of the bottles, how to hold their heads so they don't throw up on themselves when they were being fed, how to burp them. I was seven when my brother was born, and by that time I was changing diapers. As they got older, my parents never had to worry about hiring a babysitter when they were out of the house because they had me there.
