About Alexandra

Hi there! I'm Alex (they/them). I'm a childcare provider based in the East Bay with 8+ years of experience working with kids 5 months to 13 years old. I adore kids; they are such fun, genuine, creative, and intelligent beings, and I learn so much by working with them. I'm passionate about creating safe and joyful spaces for kids to grow - I use a trauma-informed lens with a grounded understanding of each child's unique nervous system and emphasize mindfulness, hands-on creativity, play and humor. Above all, I treat kids like they are full human beings, with dignity, compassion, and respect! With a bachelor's degree in Sociology, and trained in somatic trauma therapy practices and community mediation, I have the skills to navigate tough situations and big emotions that your kids will inevitably face with care, compassion, and fairness. Taking cues from your parenting style, I will communicate and enforce boundaries with your child in an age-appropriate, and loving way.
