About Alexa

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, present and creative. I like working with kids because they're the best! The teaching and learning is simultaneous. I feel my role is to assist with a way of presence that empowers them and allows them to develop language. I'm looking for a job that allows for expansion in creative ways - cooking, art, play. I started working with kids when I lived on Kauai, HI in 2018. This is where I also began my training as a Doula. In my spare time, I like to cook, bead jewelry, read, dance and spend time w friends One thing you should know about me is I am looking for work throughout this winter season. My background is in Waldorf/REI method however my training direction is as Doula (not waldorf teacher). I enjoy using sound (binaural beats/solfeggio freq) with children and seek to assist them in their expression of self. My skills include language, communication and imagination.
