Hi, my name is Alberta, the kids call me Berta! I have 26 years of experience as a nanny working for more than six families (I can provide enthusiastic references). I have most recently worked in Mamaroneck, but have also worked in Mount Vernon, the Upper East Side, and the Upper West Side. I love working with children from the time they are infants. I love the children I care for as my own, and still keep in touch and see the children I have cared for. I prepare healthy meals, help with feeding, sleep, bathtime, and developmentally appropriate playing -- in short, I will handle all responsibilities for the child or children. I love to take them to activities - nearby playgrounds, the libraries, museums, any anything else available in your location. I also integrate myself with the local community of nannies and caretakers, and will arrange playdates with other children nearby. I am reliable and open to being flexible with your schedule.

I would highly recommend Berta to anyone who wants their children to be loved and well-taken care of. She took care of my daughter from age 7 months to 3.5 years; we are only reluctantly letting her go because she will be in school fulltime and we can't give Berta the hours she needs. Berta is extremely reliable and trustworthy; she has always been on time, never missed a day, and has been flexible in coming early or staying late (even with late notice). She loves my daughter as her own (she still visits her prior families, which speaks to how well loved she is). She has made her healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks (and even filled my freezer with frozen food she cooked that has helped me on the weekends many times). She has taken my daughter to the libraries, playgrounds, music classes, etc. and befriended the other children/caretakers in the neighborhood, planning playdates. It has helped us in getting to know our neighbors! I would be happy to speak with anyone who is considering hiring Berta (and I think you will find all of her references are as enthusiastic as I am).
