About Alaya

Hi! My name is Alaya, I'm a recent graduate from Tulane University. I am originally from Brooklyn, New York, but recently made New Orleans my official home for the foreseeable future. I love to read, Junie B Jones was a favorite growing up. I love being with and caring for kids. I helped raise a lot of my cousins and siblings, and I take childcare seriously. My primary objective is to keep the kids safe while having fun. This extends to the parents as well, I want to make sure you guys are comfortable and assured your kids are safe. I'd describe my personality as fun, outgoing and a connoisseur of books. I like working with kids because they're fun to be around and entertain. I started working with kids when my aunt needed a consistent babysitter following her transition to single parenthood. My cousin, is in much ways my first kid, and we have a great bond. I loved being there for her and seeing her grow. In my spare time, I like to read, travel, and try out new restaurants!
