I've been caring for children for over six years, and I'm truly passionate about making a difference in their lives. I have experience working with children of all ages. My first jobs in high school were babysitting and lifeguard. I taught swimming lessons for 5 years and would be happy to implement those lessons if interested. I'm patient and calm, and I love to engage children in creative and educational activities. I'm also very comfortable enforcing household rules and expectations. I believe that communication is key, so I make sure to keep parents updated on their child's day. I'm happy to discuss any issues that arise, and I'll always follow the parent's preferred communication method. I'm a certified in First Aid and CPR, and I've taken coursework in Early Child Development. I'm also willing to help with cooking, meal preparation, light housekeeping, travel, and swimming supervision. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!

We’ve known Alaura since my daughter was 1 years old. We worked together at a restaurant and my daughter instantly had a connection with Alaura. I was a single mom and super overwhelmed. Alaura instantly relieved my stress of looking for someone I could trust to watch my baby. It’s now been almost 8 years and Alaura still hangs out with my daughter for date nights and days I’m overwhelmed. Alaura is extremely patient, kind, caring and super fun! She picks up my daughter from school and drops her off at my home when needed. I highly recommend Alaura to anyone that’s looking for someone trustworthy, down to earth and overall a great person.
