I'd describe my personality as bubbly, caring, and determined. I like caring for seniors because I feel allowing them as much independence as possible is important to their mental health. Permitting them to stay at their home is a big part of this. I like to feel as though my presence and help means something. I'm looking for a job that is flexible at times, although I am rarely needing to change hours. I find mutual respect important, especially when it comes to beliefs that differ from my own. I do hope to have a good and understanding relationship with my employer as well as build one with my patient. I. e: I am a Jehovah's Witness, this means yearly we have a weekend convention that I would need that Thursday and Friday off. I am careful to not offend anyone, although this causes me to overthink sometimes. I live on a long dirt road, and it isn't always plowed. Snow days may be difficult. My skills include companionship, dementia care, and keeping them scheduled.
