About Aki

Hi. I'm Aki. I love kids. I am the type of person who loves to play make-believe, explore museums, libraries, parks and trails, make up stories and silly songs, and just hang out with children. I'm also a mom myself, and prioritize communication, healthy limits and structure, and collaborative care. I have an MA in Child Development and am a certified Positive Discipline educator. This means my day job is all about supporting parents and teachers. Babysitting is a way for me to remind myself why I do this work and to have fun using the skills, songs and tools that I've learned over the years as a preschool teacher, camp counselor and early childhood specialist.
