HELLO I'm Akilah, A 25-year-old free spirit who loves children. I graduated from Jacksonville University with a degree in Psychology and minor in speech language Pathology. I enjoy traveling, DIY projects and cooking. My Caribbean background molded my foundation in childcare; coming from an extended family there was never a dull moment, I was alway watching younger siblings and family members and sometimes family friends. I have extensive work experience in the chiId care industry starting with my first job as a tutor and Peer Mentor at the James B Sanderlin Community Center in St. Petersburg Fl. I also worked as a camp leader during summers at the YMCA and Faith Base Literacy Program. I was an assessor for Read USA and a substitute teacher in the Hillsborough & Duval counties. I have supervised all ages ranging from infants to pre-teens. I am CPR certified. I look forward to joining your family.
