First and foremost, it is incredibly stressful to choose a caregiver for your children but it poses even a greater challenge in the midst of a pandemic. We interviewed Ajula and were very impressed with her credentials. We were interviewing other caregivers as well but she stood out for many reasons. We had a budget and a goal. She said the amount we offered was fine but told us she had a trial on Tuesday set for Thursday with another family. Just like a job interview or your first day, you know if it is a good fit or not on that day. Instead, we didn't hear from her on Thursday nor Friday. It was Saturday that I asked her what she'd decided, she responded by approving my background check request. After her previously accepting our offer, us agreeing to increase the number of hours, she declined. Good communication is critical. Because I feel this was insensitive and unprofessional, I want to post less starts but I do not want to hurt her business but want other parents to beware.
