About Aja

I believe in the creative, intellectual, and spiritual alchemy of young people in shaping worlds both internally and externally. I began my educator journey 13 years ago as a peer educator and organizer in my teens and hold that journey dearly when working with young people (ages 4-21). My goal for any young person I share intentional time with is for them to walk away with a stronger sense of self, agency, and their place in community. My dream is for all young people to experience active participation in cultivating safe, affirming spaces to feel, explore and dream their paths towards empowerment. What I can offer: -scholarly, artistic, and play-based learning lessons -social-emotional learning/ mindfulness tools -trauma informed therapeutic interventions -short/long term project based learning -conflict mediation/ Non-violent Communication -lessons on allyship and social justice
