About Aimee

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, creative, persistent. I like tutoring because I enjoy one on one interactions with children, and seeing the lights turn on for them when they grasp a concept. Additionally, I enjoy mentoring them by offering suggestions to improve their interpersonal skills and self care routines. I started tutoring when the pandemic hit, and children across the country were forced to work remotely, and parents were at their wits end. I designed a coaching/tutoring program that centered around my students well-being, which always contributed to both their academic and life success! In my spare time, I like to hangout with my dog, practice yoga, walk near the ocean, journal, and hike. I have a Bachelors degree in Communication from San Jose State University, and will be starting my Masters degree in Special Education this summer. I'm particularly passionate about working with children with unique needs, and/or children who are struggling with school work
