About Aidan

Hello! I am a senior Spanish major at Quinnipiac University on the MAT track for elementary education. I am 20 years old from New Paltz, NY and love to work with kids of all ages. I have 8 years of paid childcare experience ranging from sitting, tutoring, and counseling. Year-round, I work for the YMCA of Ulster County fulfilling many positions and varying responsibilities. During the school year, I am a lead counselor for the before and after school programs. During the summers, I am an administrator at a Y day camp in New Paltz. This position involved managing the staff and helping develop their own childcare skills. I also worked as a personal tutor for 3 different elementary school students during in high school during the 2020 COVID shutdown, in which I acted as their primary teacher for about 12 weeks. In my free time, I am a member of my campus newspaper as the photography editor, a freelance journalist, and an avid baseball fan.
