As an RBT, I help implement behavior plans and specific goals that will help kids better thrive in their environment. I have worked in homes and schools and and I absolutely love working with kids of all ages. One thing among many that I love about caring for kids who have autism is the ability to build strong and lasting connections and to open up opportunities for them to succeed. Watching kids learn and grow, while also having such a strong bond with them has made a huge impact on my own personal life. It has also opened up the opportunity for me to learn about a diverse group of people and how to communicate with someone who is not neurotypical. Practicing ABA therapy has allowed me to grow my skills in communication, implementing behavioral goals, and understanding the reasons behind specific behaviors.
