I was the leader of Special Olympics for three years. This event was designed to hold time trials for athletes to compete for a chance to go onto the Special Olympic Games. If the athletes times, scores or throws qualified, the athlete would then move onto the next stage. My job was to help organize the event, and make sure the athletes knew where they were supposed to be, make them feel comfortable, and mostly encourage them to enjoy the experience as much as I did.
