I like working with kids because they are curious, inquisitive, and naturally hilarious. Children help us remember what really matters, and inspire us to stay open to learning new ideas. I'm looking for a job that allows me to become a trusted partner to a family that needs a babysitter on date nights, special occasions, or even emergency situations. I enjoy being dependable and recognizing that my care allows the parents to have one less thing to worry about. I like to sing, read mystery novels, listen to games on the radio, travel to Europe, and take my senior dog, Wrigley on long walks. I have 20 plus years of experience in public education and private care having worked for Newport News Public Schools since 2004, and as an infant nanny for several years prior. The two decades include 13 years in special education as an instructional assistant. My skills include homework help, behavior management, and creative development.
