I'd describe my personality as charismatic, nurturing and witty! I like working with kids because they bring so much joy into everyday life, and teach us adults so many valuable life lessons. Not to mention kids can be brutally honest sometimes, so that always leads to a good laugh! I started working with kids about 14-15 years ago, primarily babysitting. I'm also the eldest of three girls, and due to the large age gap, I was like a built-in babysitter growing up. In my spare time, I like to create flower arrangements, read novels, and get outdoors with my dog Keiko! My top skills include baby/toddler care (ie feeding, diaper changes, etc), patience with problem-solving and communication (ie helping kiddos talk through their big feelings instead of letting them have a meltdown), and fun! A good caretaker shouldn't just be there to watch the kids, but to create a calm, yet fun and enjoyable space when the comfort of mom and dad isn't in the other room.
