Unfortunately, we had to let Adilya go today as she had become very unreliable and unprofessional. I feel as a mama that it is my duty to make other mama's aware of a very scary situation that happened while my children were in her care. Today 5/10/2023 at 2:16 PM I received a text from my next door neighbor asking if my son was OK as he had went to her home and rang their ring doorbell and looked concerned. I responded and said I would reach out to my nanny to see what had happened, thinking that as kids like to do sometimes, ring the doorbells that have the cameras. After reaching out to Adilya or as she goes by Lily , that quickly became not the case. Adilya's reply was " D (my 2 year old son) had went outside by him self and she had to go after him and that C ( my 6 year old ) must have got confused and went to look for them at the neighbors and she was back in 2 minutes. Now, as a concerned mom my mind immediately went to why is my 2 year old outside by himself and if they were back in 2 minutes, how far did he get before she realized that he was gone! After asking follow-up questions, Adilya immediately became defensive and expressed that she felt she was being interrogated by me and that I needed to communicate nicer with her. The conversation continued ( I can share further if needed ) and after explaining to her the concerns I had as a mother with no longer trusting her, we both agreed that it was best for her to no longer be our nanny. I felt so insecure about her being with my children any longer, I immediately called my step dad and asked him to watch them until I could be home from work. A little back story, she was hired as our nanny for every week Tuesday's from 7:30-5:00. In the beginning, she was great and would send constant updates that began to fade after a couple weeks of working and as soon as we put a security system in that came with cameras that we stationed 1 in the living room/kitchen she began to stay in the back rooms of our house that do not have cameras. There is a couple of other situations that were a little questionable but I tried to not make a big deal out of and allowed her to continue to watch my children. I am extremely sad that it had to come to something like this but these are my life, my babies that I entrusted with her.
