I have been around animals my whole life. Growing up my parents often had cats simply because we live in apartments too small for dogs. Once my family was able to afford a house we added 2 dogs, another cat, as well as small fresh water fish. As the oldest kid, I was expected to to my part in taking care and loving them. In high School I started volunteering at a horse ranch, where we all took care of the horses 3 to 5 times a week.
