Sincere, authentic, genuine, proactive, knowledgeable, caring, advocate, intuitive..….These are some of the words that describe Adele. The care that she gave my mom was priceless. Her care provided my dad many things….the opportunity for him to take care of himself by interacting with friends, playing golf and cooking dinner which he loves to do. In taking care of my mom early on, Adele engaged with her by finding out her different interests and creating things to do around that.. such as music, arts and crafts, looking at pictures and baking etc. Adele did her nails and hair, bathed her, changed her, knew her favorite color, massaged her arms and legs when needed, continuously monitored her for changes in her condition, routinely checked her vitals, kept a daily journal of what they did that day and whether it was a good/bad day for her. When my mom was in the hospital, Adele was there with us and helped us if and when we needed it. I feel like she also took on a bit of a counseling role, for my dad and I in helping us to navigate difficult situations as they arose. She always seemed to know what to say, how to say it and when to say it. In my mom’s final days of home hospice, Adele was dialed in with making sure my mom was comfortable, peaceful and that her room was a happy place, positive and upbeat. It is so hard to convey just how incredibly blessed our family was to have Adele care for my mom. We wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. And this review really doesn’t do justice in explaining the care that she provided for my mom, myself and my dad….because her care was truly priceless.
