I started caregiving for seniors when I was 19 years old, I worked at an assisted living facility starting off as my boss assistant. Soon after hiring me she upgraded me to help out in other arenas there such as the kitchen and going around getting clients food orders. After that she wanted me to be in charge of the activities for the seniors such as bingo, exercise classes, arts and crafts, teaching them how to paint, ext. After that she had me start answering call lights when clients needed help and helping out the other CNA's with their duties. I did have my CNA license while working there, and I was there for about a year.
