My patience, calmness, and empathy help me connect to children to understand their emotions. I believe in talking to children about why they feel upset or angry instead of getting mad at them and sending them to a timeout. I follow the preferred communication method of parents to ensure we are communicating about the child and their daily emotions and activities. I feel comfortable enforcing your household rules and daily routine for everything, I wouldn't want to throw off their daily routine. I prefer to limit children's screen time. Instead of screen time I would like us to play board games, go to the park, arts and crafts, baking (I don't feel comfortable with the children using the oven), learning games, homework, and children's museums. I like working with kids because I like to help them build their self esteem, whether it's helping them understand their homework or sitting down with them and listening to how their day is.
