About Addison

Hi! I'm an adaptive and laid-back instructor, aiming to create a low pressure but structured space for your child to learn. To me, tutoring isn't just about helping kids with the subject at hand; it's giving them the skills and self motivation to be able to find answers on their own, and to think critically and creatively to solve problems. My teaching will emphasize not the answer so much as how you might get to the answer. In high school I worked as a tutor and in classes with teachers for summer school programs and as a teacher's aide for a semester when I was an Education Major. l My strongest skillset is with tutoring English Language and writing and I'm comfortable teaching up through algebra in Math, and near anything under Science and History, which have always been my favorite subjects. I'm also more than happy to help kids with Spanish work they might have.
