About Adara

Hi! My name is adara, i've been working with children professionally for about a year and a half now and grew up with my mom babysitting so there's always been kids around! Growing up babysitting for the community around me taught me many skills in keeping kids entertained and facilitating positive interactions with multiple kids. I've also worked with children with many different needs and behaviors, teaching me lots of patience and how to be creative in problem solving! Previous experience: one semester as a paraprofessional in a special needs classroom. Here I helped one of my children join a gen-ed gym class and worked on independent skills with youth. youth care specialist, here I help teach life/coping skills, supervise, and care for youth living at the facility. youngest camper lead, here I was in charge of all of our 4-6-year-olds, lead tours of the camp for new campers, lead big projects w all ages such as a nail salon and lemonade stand
